Add icons in the text editor

Insert icon characters into a text tile using the icon picker or HTML. Covers the icon library and sizing options.

Icons provide a visual way to represent ideas, actions, or content. They can improve navigation and usability, strengthen your site's branding, and make content easier to scan. Icons can also help highlight important information or calls to action (CTAs).

Zoomforth includes the Font Awesome icon library, which you can access directly from the text editor when editing your site.

Add an Icon to a Text Editor

Follow these steps to add a Font Awesome icon to your content:

  1. Open the Text Editor where you want to add the icon.

  2. From the text editing toolbar, click More Rich.

  3. Select FontAwesome from the available options.

  4. Browse the available icons and click the icon you want to add.

  5. The selected icon will be inserted into the text editor at your cursor position.

Tips for Using Icons

  • Use icons to support or reinforce the meaning of your text rather than replacing important information.

  • Choose icons that are easy for visitors to recognise and understand.

  • Use icons consistently throughout your site to maintain a cohesive visual style.

  • Avoid adding too many icons, as this can make your content feel cluttered or distracting.
