Customize the play icon for video tiles

Replace the default play icon on video tiles with a custom image or icon.

The play (playback) icon helps visitors identify a tile as video or YouTube content. You can customize the icon to better match your site’s branding and visual style. For best results, use a PNG or SVG image with a transparent background.

To customize the play icon:

  1. In the site editor, select the video or YouTube tile.

  2. In the left panel, click the Content tab.

  3. Under Thumbnail, go to the Play Icon section, then click Custom Icon.

  4. In the Media Library window, search for the image you want to use or upload one, then click Select.

  5. Set the preferred crop using the cropper utility.

  6. Click Crop.
