Depending on the browser, a PDF in your site may show a title at the top of the pop-up file viewer.
If a Word document is uploaded, it will prefix the title with the application name, which is Microsoft Word.
The title of the pop-up file viewer usually copies the Title field in the document metadata. If this metadata is not specified, or is blank, it might display โdocument_1.pdfโ.
Depending on the file ownership, your document processing application may allow you to edit this metadata value.
To change or specify the Title metadata when the file is opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC:
Click File and select Properties.
Change the value in the Title field to your preference.
Click OK.
To change or specify the Title metadata when the file is opened with Microsoft Word:ย
Click File and select Properties.
Click Summary from the menu.
Change the value in the Title field to your preference.
Click OK.
