Video .webm files in Zoomforth

Upload and display .webm video files in your site. Covers browser compatibility, fallback behavior, and upload size limits.

Recording videos in Zoomforth can be done in both Prompts and in Sites to create tiles. When you record a video, you may realize that we save your videos with a .webm extension. This can be confusing at first, but you can be sure that it is a valid video format.

If you are trying to download a recorded video and find that you cannot play it on one of your applications, then you have a few options:

  • Download and use VLC Media Player to play the video. VLC will play almost any file type and works no matter what operating system you are using.

  • Convert the video to an .mp4 file format or something else you prefer using tools like ConvertIO or ZamZar.
