Change text color or text background highlight

Apply a custom color to selected text or add a background highlight using the color picker in the toolbar.

Colors play an important role in web design by influencing the overall tone, character, and visual appeal of a page. For text, choosing the right colors also helps improve readability and accessibility.

Zoomforth's text editor provides several color options, including predefined theme colors and the ability to select a custom color using the color picker. Theme colors are automatically populated based on your site's theme, making it easier to maintain consistent branding throughout your site.

Change the Text Color

  1. Select the text or text box containing the text you want to modify.

  2. Click the More Rich icon in the text editor toolbar.

  3. Click the A icon to open the text color options.

  4. Select a color from the available options, or enter a HEX color code to use a custom color.

  5. Click outside the color picker to apply the change.

Change the Text Background Color (Highlight)

You can also add a background color to selected text to highlight important information or improve visual contrast.

  1. Select the text or text box containing the text you want to modify.

  2. Click the More Rich icon in the text editor toolbar.

  3. Click the paintbrush icon to open the background color options.

  4. Select a color from the available options, or enter a HEX color code to use a custom color.

  5. Click outside the color picker to apply the change.

Best Practices

  • Use colors that provide sufficient contrast between the text and its background.

  • Use your site's predefined theme colors when possible to maintain brand consistency.

  • Use custom HEX colors when a specific brand or design requirement cannot be met with the predefined options.

  • Avoid using color as the only way to communicate important information, as this can create accessibility issues for some users.
