Change bullet and numbered list padding

Adjust indentation and spacing for bullet and numbered lists in a text tile. Uses the CSS class panel for custom values.

When creating bulleted or numbered lists, you may want to add more space between individual list items to improve readability and visual presentation.

The spacing and padding for lists are controlled at the Theme level. You can adjust these settings under Site Basics > Theme > List & List items using em values.

To Change List Padding and Spacing

  1. Open the Theme currently being used by your site.

  2. Under Site Basics, select Theme.

  3. Locate the List & List items section.

  4. Enter the appropriate values for the list's padding and spacing using em units.

  5. Save or publish the theme changes, if prompted.

Understanding em Values

The em unit is relative to the font size of the element. For example:

  • 0.5em = a small amount of spacing

  • 1em = spacing approximately equal to the current font size

  • 2em = spacing approximately twice the current font size

Using em values helps ensure that the spacing scales appropriately with the text size.

Tip: Make small adjustments when changing list spacing. Excessive padding can make lists appear unnecessarily spread out, while insufficient spacing can make multiple list items difficult to read.
