You can configure an image in your Zoomforth site to expand in an overlay when a visitor clicks it. This allows visitors to view the image at a larger size without leaving the page.
The expanded image displays at its available size, subject to the visitor's screen dimensions. If the image appears too small or lacks detail, you may need to upload a higher-resolution version.
Enable the Expand Image Action
To allow visitors to open an image in an overlay
Open your site in the Zoomforth editor.
Select the tile containing the image you want visitors to expand.
Locate the image settings in the editor.
Enable the Expand Image action, if available for the selected image.
Preview your site and click the image to verify that it opens in an overlay.
Save or publish your changes as needed.
Note: The exact settings available may vary depending on the tile type and editor configuration.
Adjust the Expanded Image Size
The size and quality of the expanded image depend on the dimensions and resolution of the original file.
If the image appears too small or blurry when opened in an overlay, follow these steps:
Open the original image in your preferred photo-editing software.
Increase its dimensions or resolution as needed, while maintaining the correct aspect ratio.
Export the image in a suitable format and quality.
Upload the updated image to Zoomforth and replace the existing file.
Preview the site and test the image again.
