Manage pending site access requests

Review and approve or deny visitor requests to access a secured site. Covers the access queue and notification settings.

Written by Troy Villasanta

Those who are not whitelisted to view a site with email, MFA, or SSO authentications can send requests to access the site.

Access requests are part of a broader access control system. For context on how visitor access works across all site types, visit the security features page.

Email notifications with links to the site are sent to site admins to handle the access requests.

To manage site access requests

1. Click the site from the Sites and Templates dashboard.

2. Click the Visitor Access tab from the Site Details menu.

3 Click the Pending Access submenu to see the list of pending requests, which can then be approved or declined. For MFA device reset requests, it is highly recommended to validate the request before approving it, as there is a possibility that such a request has been made from compromised email access.
