Public Hosted or Public Upload files are files uploaded and hosted by Zoomforth which are always accessible to anyone on the Internet. At times, you will need publicly hosted files to build your site.

Uses of Public Hosted Files

  • Oftentimes, you will need to upload certain files when creating Themes. For example, if you have custom fonts that you would like to use in your sites then you can upload them as a Public Hosted File and use the web address in your font specification for that Theme.

  • It is common for sites to use icons and logos in the site footer. By using the custom footer feature, you can use Public Hosted Images for those icons.

  • Since Public Hosted links are permanent, you can use them in any way a normal link to a file could be used.

Media for Public Hosting can ONLY be uploaded via the Theme Editor. Learn how to upload files for Public Hosting by reading the article Uploading public files.
