Zoomforth gives you control over how visitors to your sites are tracked. When a visitor arrives at a site, it is possible to connect the action they take on the site to their email, so that when using the tracking tools you can see exactly who is using the site. You can verify whether their actions are linked back to their email.

For compliance with data privacy regulations, before any personal data can be used for tracking, any visitor from select geographical areas like EU, UK and California, who visits a site in your account must consent to the use of their personal data, similar to the screens shown above.

This feature is enabled by default for EU, UK and Californian visitors. Additionally, in the "Privacy" tab, you can choose to anonymize all EU, UK and Californian visitors to sites instead of asking them for consent to tracking. Some of our customers may want to extend these consumer protections to all of their site visitors, so the privacy tab also allows a user to require that ALL visitors give consent, or that ALL visitors are anonymized.

These settings are controlled in the "Privacy" Tab, in the Account Settings control panel.

  • If the "request consent" option is selected, visitors will see a similar screen in the video above, where they can accept the privacy policy after after filling out the name and email fields, or stay anonymous by clicking 'Continue without identifying yourself' below.

  • If tracking is set to "anonymized", we will collect tracking data but will not associate it with that particular visitor: we will not save their personal data, and their session will not be identifiable based on their personal data. They will not be shown a consent screen.

By default, a link to the Zoomforth Privacy Policy is shown to visitors who choose to review or amend their privacy preferences. You can change this to your own company's Privacy Policy by adding the URL to your own policy in the "Privacy" tab.
